Nicky + Fabian’s Luxury Elopement

Nicky & Fabian planned their Queenstown Elopement in the perfect way – starting with a two-week-long road trip down across the North Island, hopping across the Cook Strait and tiki-touring around the West Coast before arriving at destination: Queenstown. With travel being a big component of their relationship so far and being based in between home locations in Switzerland, the decision to fly to our little corner of the world came naturally. (We think the beauty, mountains, lakes and snow might have helped a touch, too! 😉 )

Choosing our newly released Luxury Elopement, Nicky and Fabian were hosted at the stunning Rees Apartments and chauffeured to a lakeside ceremony locale in a vintage Jag mark 9. With a low cloud cover providing a gorgeous soft backlight, Nicky and Fabian read their vows with an intimate audience (their Simply Perfect wedding planner and team and a few unbeknownst ducks). Luckily for us, the skies above that cloud were completely blue and perfect so we shortly departed for an incredible helicopter flight up to Mount Earnslaw. We first dropped down in to the Earnslaw Burn valley, filled with almost frozen waterfalls and safeguard of the remaining glacier. A photoshoot later, we were up on the top of said mountain and basking in rays of warm sunshine amid freezing temperatures (with being almost 8000ft high!). Williams Photography captured the day amazingly with Nicky and Fabian’s absolute love for each other, easy-going natures and “perfect fit” showing in each and every photo.

It was a privilege to help Nicky and Fabian with their wedding and we wish them all the love, happiness and success in the world. We will be adding Switzerland to our list of “lovely places and couples to visit”! ♡
